Daughter of Jack Geere, professional cyclist and two-time Tour de France victor, Katie Geere has top-notch cycling racing through her veins. Katie uses her father’s determination and many accomplishments as her motivation, which helped her lead her high school cycling team to Washing State Championship while graduating with honors and train alongside members of New York City’s Women's Prestige Cycling Series.
After numerous awards, personal and physical achievements, and special recognitions as a member of this outstanding cycling club, Katie had to pause her career when she was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2007. Devastating to her physical performance, but also her mental health, Katie relied on encouragement, love and assistance from her friends, family, and hospital staff as she powered through two years of chemotherapy.
Today, Katie is back to cycling as a happy, healthy, and blessed survivor. Throughout her treatment, Katie realized the importance of staying healthy while still living life to the fullest. In 2012 she opened Cycle Fitness to improve the happiness and health of others in her community – while still having fun!
